Telecommunications service providers will be users of edge computing as well as hopeful suppliers of edge computing value to their customers and partners. At least initially, most service provider executives expected most of their edge computing sites in 2020 would number fewer than 100, a Red Hat survey found.
By 2023 professionals expected their edge sites to center around 100 to 999 sites.
